Lux Fiat — Let There Be Light
DMGS @100 — A Legacy of Light
Celebrating 100 years of discipline, scholarship, and leadership at Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha.
Countdown to Centenary Opening:
Our Journey Through a Century
From the early classrooms along the banks of the Niger to today’s modern campus, DMGS has shaped minds and moulded men of character.
Founded in 1925 under the Diocese on the Niger, Dennis Memorial Grammar School has stood as one of Nigeria’s proudest institutions of learning. For generations, her motto Lux Fiat — Let There Be Light — has guided every boy who walked her corridors.
Each era added its chapter — academic triumphs, cultural moments, sporting glory, and faithful service to Church and nation. Together they form the living story of one school whose light has never dimmed.
